A description of what we do, written for people who run small firms. It is general information, not advice about your particular office.

We try to keep every page accurate and current. If something here is wrong or out of date, tell us and we will fix it.

Asking for a review is a request for a conversation. It is not a contract, it does not commit you to anything, and there is nothing to sign on the day.

The review itself is ninety minutes on site at no charge, and the written report that follows is yours to keep whether or not you ever hire us — including if you hand it to somebody else.

We will confirm a time with you rather than simply turning up.

Any work beyond the review is quoted to you directly, in writing, after we have seen what is involved. Nothing on this site is a price, an estimate or an offer, and nothing here forms an agreement on its own.

The terms of the work itself live in that written quote and whatever we sign with you — not on this page.

The pages describe how we work and what tends to happen. They are not a guarantee about your firm, whose situation we have not seen yet.

We keep this site available as best we can, but we do not promise it is never down, and we are not liable for a loss caused by relying on a page here rather than on advice we have actually given you.

The writing, design and artwork on this site are ours. Quote us, link to us, or send a page to a colleague — that is what it is for.

Please do not republish a page wholesale as your own, and do not present our words as somebody else's.

Any company names or marks that appear belong to their owners, and are shown to say what we work with rather than to imply anybody endorses us.

Do not attempt to break, overload or probe this site or the systems behind it, and do not use the forms to send anything unlawful.

The forms are rate-limited and monitored for abuse, which is the only reason we look at them at all.
