About
Manas is Sanskrit for the mind.
It is the part of you that notices, weighs and decides — quietly, in the background, while you get on with something else. That is the job we do for the firms we look after.
Why the firm exists
Every small firm has the same gap.
A twelve-person insurance agency depends on its systems exactly as much as a twelve-hundred-person one does. The difference is that nobody at the small firm wakes up thinking about it. The work lands on whoever is handy — the office manager, a partner’s son, the one person who is good with computers — and it stays there, unowned, until a bad week makes it everyone’s problem.
We built this firm to be the part that is missing. Not a vendor you call when something breaks. The people who hold it, so that nobody in your office has to.
We stay small on purpose. We would rather look after thirty firms properly than three hundred at arm’s length, and we would rather tell you something dull and true than something impressive.
Who we’re for
Professional firms of roughly ten to fifty people in Frederick County and the surrounding Maryland counties: insurance agencies, accounting practices, medical and dental offices, law firms, contractors and design studios. Firms that keep records they cannot afford to lose and answer to somebody about how those records are kept.
If you are two people with laptops, you do not need us yet. If you already employ someone whose whole job this is, you probably do not need us either — though we are happy to be the second pair of eyes.
Who runs it
[Founder name]
[Founder name] has spent [number] years looking after the systems behind small professional firms — first inside one, then for a larger firm that had too many clients to know any of them well. The Manas Group came out of that second part.
[One or two plainly human sentences: where they grew up, what they do at the weekend, why Frederick County. Keep it small and true — no mission statements.]
Based in Frederick County, Maryland. On site with clients most weeks, which is the only way to know how a place actually runs.
