The morning after the worst day is the only test that counts.
Nearly every firm we look at has copies of something. Far fewer can say how long getting back would take, or how much work would be gone.
Most owners believe this one is already handled. Something runs overnight, a green light appears somewhere, and nobody has needed it in four years. That is not the same as being able to get back.
The trouble only shows up on the day it matters. A folder that quietly stopped being included in 2023. A copy sitting in the same room as the machine it was copying. Eleven days to bring everything back, which is survivable for a photo library and not survivable for a practice with clients waiting.
So the question we ask is not whether you have copies. It is what Tuesday morning looks like if everything went on Monday night. How many hours. And whether anybody in your building can say the number without guessing.
What we handle
What that actually covers.
No list of products. The things that change for you, in the order they matter.
More than one copy
One copy is one thing going wrong away from no copies. We keep several, in more than one place, so losing one is an inconvenience rather than the end of the story.
One copy somewhere a bad Friday cannot reach
Fire, flood, theft and the bad email tend to take everything in the same building at once. One copy stays well outside all that, where nobody can change it or delete it in a hurry — including us.
Somebody actually puts one back
On a schedule, one of us takes a real file out of a real copy and opens it. Then we write down that it worked, and how long it took.
You know how long coming back would take, in hours
Not soon. Not quickly. A number you can say out loud to your insurer, your partners, and the client who is waiting on you.
You know how much work would be lost
An hour of it, or a day of it. That is your decision to make on a calm afternoon, and we will tell you plainly what each answer involves.
What comes back first, agreed in advance
Payroll before the photo archive. We settle the order with you while nothing is on fire, so nobody is deciding it at six in the morning with everyone watching.
The morning after, with somebody else driving
You make the calls to the clients who need calling. We handle the rest, and tell you where we are every hour in words you can repeat to anyone who asks.
Whether you could actually come back is one of the four things we look at in a review. Ninety minutes on site, and a written report a few days later with your own numbers in it — how many copies, how many hours, how much work. Most owners have never seen those numbers written down. You keep the report whether or not you ever hire us.
